Critical Spatial Practice as Parrhesia

This article was published in a special issue of MaHKUscript, Journal of Fine Art Research, in 2016, and marked a turning point in my work on critical spatial practice, where rather than write ‘about’ projects by other critical spatial practitioners, I started to realise that my own ‘speech acts’ at home and work were kinds of ‘constructive institutional critique’ (see Lind, Maria and Apolonija Šušteršič. Moderna Museet Projekt. Stockholm: Moderna Museet, 1999) and forms of critical spatial practice. With illustrations by Judit Ferencz.
